    The Sum of the Parts

    Tomorrow's Theatre Tonight
    March 22, 2012

The newest of three amazing new playwrights to move to Prescott is Emmy-award-winning Barry Teicher. Teicher brings his newest work, The Sum of the Parts, to Tomorrow's Theatre Tonight.

In this new work-in-progress, Teicher weaves together two periods in American history: the late 19th century era of Rags to Riches storytelling, and the 20th Century idealism of the 1920s. Beautifully interweaving the stories of writer Horatio Alger, Jr. and his biographer, Molly O’Sullivan, Teicher’s play explores dark secrets, betrayal, and forgiveness. Sparkling with snappy dialogue, this reading is not to be missed. Adult content.

Barry served for over 20 years as the campus oral historian at the University of Wisconsin. He has also worked in film for which he won an Emmy, photography, and theatre; and he is currently working on his second novel.

The reading, as always, is followed by audience discussion and feedback. Coffee, tea, and baked goods available for purchase.
