About 90 minutes from downtown Phoenix Out of Africa was definately worth the trip! The staff really made an effort to get groups to different parts of the park on time for the various shows and tours. We saw almost everything in a relatively short time frame. We were there just over three hours. I have never been to a zoo or other animal park that enabled you to see all the animals from just a few feet away. It was pretty amazing. Definately try to get there by 11:00 or so to make the Giant Snake Show (11:30) and have time for the Serengeti Safari and Tiger Splash. Outside food is no longer allowed in so either plan to eat at the snack bar or out in your car. Admission is about $36/adult but there are often 2 for 1 coupons in weekly coupon mailers. The price includes all the shows and tours. There is an upgraded safari tour for an additional $13 that we may try next which allows for more animal feedings and an extended time in the "Serengeti".
