    April 20, 2011

April's title is the 2011 Onebookaz pick "Hopi Summer: Letters from Ethel to Maude" by Carolyn O'Bagy Davis. Hopi Summer tells the true story of a friendship struck up between Maud Melville, a wealthy New Englander, and Ethel Muchvo, a Hopi potter. Based on diaries, letters and photographs of Ethel and Maud, O'Bagy delves into the touching relationship that blossomed between two different women throughout many years of triumphs and sorrows.
