    The community is invited to the Courthouse Plaza and Sharlot Hall Museum to celebrate "Day of the Dead" (Dia de Los Muertos). This traditional Mexican/southwestern celebration honors the memory of friends and relatives who have gone before.

    V?ctor M. Trevino of the Mexican Consulate General office in Phoenix will be the featured speaker at the opening of Prescott's annual Day of the Dead followed by a public procession to the Museum, where there will be a program of mariachi music and folklorico dancing. Visitors can view memorial altares, hear family oral histories and learn about the traditions of this colorful holiday.
