Arizona Visions: An Old West Story
June 18-July 25, 2010
Indians, cowboys, pioneers, farms, ranches, mines, saloons, commerce, tourism and more, make up the diverse history of Arizona and the wealth of subject manner, past and present, found in this show, saluting the 48th state in the Union. Curators: Maria Lynam and Barb Wills. Opening Reception: June 18th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A new slant is planned for this annual favorite! Many artistic expressions have their roots in Arizona. Our artists will interpret our landscapes and sunsets in addition to the rich history of Arizona. They use their imaginations to conjure up different voices and viewpoints regarding the western experience. Take this opportunity to meet and talk to the artists about their work and share your own Arizona experience. Refreshments served; all events free and open to the public. Additional Information: Todd Weber will be giving a special presentation at the PFA Gallery on Saturday, July 17 at 1:00pm. Look forward to the "History of the River Runner on the Colorado", supported in part by the Arizona Humanities Council. 4th Friday Art Walk: June 25th from 5:00pm-7:30pm and July 23rd from 5:00pm-7:30pm. Stop by for an evening of music and art. Refreshments will be served. All events are free and open to the public.
