Cold Chills and Gold Fever: The Story of Charlie Genung and His Wife, Ida

Cold Chills and Gold Fever: The Story of Charlie Genung and His Wife, Ida

Presented by Sharlot Hall Museum at Blue Rose Theater

    August 20-August 28, 2010

This play, written by Jody Drake, tells the story of Charlie Genung, his wife Ida and their 10 children who settled in Peeples Valley around 1871. The story incorporates both great comedy and drama involving Genung and his wife. Much of the story unfolds through Genung's great-grandson as he learns of Genung's travels and adventures while pulling artifacts out of Genung's old trunk. This story is rich in the history of Peeples Valley, Yarnell and Wickenburg. The Blue Rose Theatre is very proud to bring back this original favorite.
